Biographies:


Paolo Oreni  Organist
Paolo Oreni, was defined by the Süddeutsche Zeitung “A Young Italian Artist, very talented, a real Miracle of Technique with a never reached precision. Great expectations are posed into him”. Born in Treviglio in 1979, Paolo Oreni started his musical career playing the Organ when he was just 11 at Gaetano Donizetti Musical Institute in Bergamo with Walter Zaramella. In 2000 he earned a Scholarship, donated to him by Ministry of Culture of Luxemburg and Cooperative Credit Bank of Treviglio.In 2002, he gained the First Place Award at the International Competition “Prix Interrégional-Diplôme de Concert”, prestigious European Degree. Having studied with remarkable musicians as Jean-Paul Imbert and Lydia Baldecchi Arcuri, it's thanks to their suggestions that he improved remarkebly as organist and pianist.A very important and crucial step for his musical career werd the encounter and the lessons with Jean Guillou, by whom he got mainly influenced during several Masterclasses followed at St. Eustache Church in Paris and Tonhalle in Zurich (Stiftung für Internationale Meisterkurse für Musik). He gained several awards in International Competitions as at the International Competition “Ville de Paris”, where he obtained a special mention in final round. He’s now performing an intense activity as a Soloist, also with Orchestra in Chamber ensembles, with an average of 100 concerts every year, playing in the most important music festivals on the world. Since 2006 he’s regularly invited to teach at Masterclasses focused on Improvisation and Organ Repertory raising from Bach to contemporary Music.

Sara Musumeci  Organist
Sara Musumeci, born 1991 in Giarre,is a young and very promising sicilian artist.Despite her activity as organist, pianist and musicologist,she is currently studying organ with Paolo Oreni. Before she already studied pianoforte with Giuseppe Cantone and Violetta Egorova At te Musical Institute "V. Bellini" a Caltanissetta.Having graduate in musicology in 2016 and Pianoforte in with Epifanio Comis, both with honors, she participated in several Masterclasses in Organ with Giovannimaria Perrucci, Alberto Mammarella, Gabriele Catalucci, Diego Cannizzaro and Aart Bergwerff. Further she took part in a Masterclass of Organ building with Franco Olivieri and Masterclasses in Pianoforte organised by the Music Conservatory of Paris and the sicilian Accademy of Pianoforte.Since 2015, she is regularly asked to teach in Seminars in collaboration with the University of Palermo and cultural and artistic Associations in the Region of Catania and also teaching Pianoforte At the Carlo Alberto dalla chiesa" and the " Institute di alta cultura - Tisi" Music Institute of Catania.

Noel Gallo   Organ Builder
In 2008 Noel established the first organ building and design studio in Malta under the trade name ‘NG Pipe Organ Design’ specialising solely in the traditional pipe organ. As an organ designer, he has been in increasing demand, working with many leading organ builders worldwide including:  Nicholson & Co. Ltd,  Rudolf Von Beckerath Orgelbau GmbH, Metzler Orgelbau AG. and others, which entrusted him to work on various projects of significant importance. Examples can be found in Germany, the United Kingdom, Norway, Switzerland, Australia, South Korea, Malaysia, China and Malta. On the practical side, Noel has hands-on involvement with construction, restoration and maintenance of pipe organs sometimes in conjunction with other firms on instruments in the Maltese Archipelago and beyond. With his wide connections with the worldwide organ building fraternity, Noel draws on the experience of experts from many fields to give a truly professional and comprehensive service for his work whether in Malta or worldwide.He studied Solo Piano with the Trinity College of Music London and organ  performance under the tuition of Mro. Carmelo Zammit from Msida Malta. Organ building studies took him around the world to specialize in this art where he learned organ restoration and upgrading practice with Michael Farley Organ Builders of UK and new organ design and construction with Master Organ Builder Mr. Christoph Weber of Germany were he also much knowledge on Maltese historical organs with Mr. George Schembri, who with his father before him, spent much of the last century working on Maltese organs. Mr. Schembri was also a master for Noel on Piano tuning and repair.  Noel studied Architecture, Drafting, Quantity Surveying, Internet Marketing and CAD software academic studies and worked for an architectural and civil engineering studio for 9 years. For 15 years he was the resident church organist at St. Gregory Parish Church Sliema and still regularly plays in churches around Malta and Gozo for masses and various concerts also in various European countries. He is frequently invited to take part in various cultural activities. Noel is a member of The International Society of Organ builders and has contributed articles for publication and addressed various organisations and conferences including The Institute of British Organ building and the St Alban's International Organ Festival as well as giving more informal lectures and demonstrations.
