This year marks the 25th Anniversary since the introduction of Local Governments in Malta and to commemorate such an important occasion, the Mellieħa Local Council is presenting the original musical “Naħal tal-Imħabba” during an official ceremony which will take place on December 8th.
The music of “Naħal tal-Imħabba” was composed by Philip Vella, lyrics by Paul P. Borg and the musical arrangements were in hand of Sean Vella. Jamie Vella was in charge of the shooting of the aerial views. Forming the cast there will be the local actors and singers Dario Bezzina, Miriam Christine Borg, Maryann Muscat, Annabelle Vella, Gaetano Sultana, Anna Camilleri, Alexia Farrugia, Thea Gauci, Mireille Borg, Samantha Magro and Maria Cini. Artemocion Dance & Leisure Studio is in charge of the coreography.
The general public will have the opportunity to watch the musical on Sunday 9th December. Infact there will be two viewings - one at 15.00hrs and another one at 18.30hrs. Venue: Mellieħa Primary School Hall. Tickets are obtainable free of charge from the Mellieħa Local Council’s office at no. 126, Triq il-Mitħna l-Ġdida, il-Mellieħa or by booking on telephone number 21521333 or via email address: customercare.mellieha.lc@gov.mt.

Besides the musical, the Mellieħa Local Council will be organising a number of other activities and events with the collaboration of a number of local societies, that wished to join the Local Council in commemorating such a significant anniversary:
